Prince William and Kate Middleton are helping Britain get in the Christmas spirit with their three-day tour of Scotland, England, and Wales aboard the royal train. The Duke and Duchess have already made multiple stops on what will be a 1,250-mile journey, including their most recent stop in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, England, where they met some actual reindeer (and some children dressed as reindeer, naturally).

Will and Kate met the three reindeer in question (named Chaz, Crackers, and Echols, if you were wondering) during their visit to Holy Trinity Church of England First School in Berwick-Upon-Tweed. They also greeted a group of children wearing toy antlers—and in a video shared by royal reporter Richard Palmer, Kate can be seen telling the kids, "Thank you for coming to see us!"

The Duke and Duchess dropped by the school to recognize the work of teachers during the pandemic—both those who enabled children to continue their studies online, and those who taught in-person classes for those who needed it, like the children of essential workers. It's very much in line with the overarching goal of this short tour, which—in addition to spreading holiday cheer—is designed to thank frontline workers and other people who've helped their communities amid the COVID-19 crisis. The trip began on Sunday and will conclude Tuesday.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said ahead of the tour that the royal couple was "very much looking forward to shining a spotlight on the incredible work that has been done across the country throughout this difficult year and to sharing their gratitude on behalf of the nation for all those supporting their local communities ahead of the Christmas holidays."
