Kate Middleton & Prince William Are Officially on Summer Break

Break out the barbecue and bathing suits because it’s officially summer break for Kate Middleton and Prince William.

It’s been a busy July for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have attended everything from baby Archie’s christening and a charity polo match to Wimbledon (multiple times). But, after the couple’s day date to the 2019 men’s tennis finals this past Sunday, it appears they may be taking a brief break from royal engagements to enjoy some rest and relaxation.

According to Hello, the Cambridges are now on holiday from public duty. But don’t worry, they’ll be back before you know it. It’s typical for working members of the royal family to vacation in July and August and return to business in September.

Last year, the couple and their children, Prince George (5), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (1), traveled to the island of Mustique off the coast of Barbados and, of course, made their annual trip to Balmoral Castle to spend time with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Although it’s still unknown where the family will vacation this year (they keep that info pretty close to the vest), they’re set to appear at the King’s Cup sailing regatta in Cowes, England, in early August. It’s also expected that they’ll visit Balmoral at some point, as is tradition.

The 93-year-old queen is reportedly beginning her summer stay at Balmoral later than usual this year because of a meeting, but hopefully that won’t impede on their family summer fun.

Just make sure to use sunscreen liberally, guys.
