Christmas is just around the corner, which means that if you're a member of the British royal family, you're likely currently preparing for Christmas at Sandringham with the queen (and it sounds like you really do need to mentally prepare...a former royal butler said that it was like "Downton Abbey on speed").

And even though the whole royal family will be making the commute to Norfolk, it looks like not everyone will actually be staying at the Sandringham estate. According to the Daily Mail, Prince William and Kate Middleton's family will be staying two miles down the road at Anmer Hall, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be at the main Sandringham house.

But while some may interpret these arrangements as a result of alleged tension between Kate and Meghan, it looks like the reason that the couples aren't staying together is really just due to logistics.

Apparently, even though Sandringham looks like it's quite large, the accommodations are "cramped"-a source even shares that the guests will be "packed in like sardines."

There are reportedly around 29 bedrooms in the house (including staff rooms), and it's thought that 30 or more guests will be joining the queen for Christmas, so it really does sound like the house will be at capacity. And because Kate and Will have three kids (and all of the large/unwieldy equipment that comes with a baby), they'll be staying in the more spacious Anmer Hall, which obviously makes a ton of sense.

So basically, there's no royal drama to here folks!
