Kate Middleton and Prince William Were Seen With Their Kids at Heathrow Airport's Luxury Windsor Suite
How do the royals travel off-duty for their private vacations? In the case of Kate Middleton and Prince William last week, it's far from your typical airport experience. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen at Heathrow Airport, The Mirror reports, with their children departing for a vacation during the kids' half-term break. They weren't with everyone else though: The family was in the airport's private Windsor Suite.
Per The Mirror, Kate, William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were “spotted unloading luggage from their car outside Heathrow's opulent Windsor Suite with the kids carrying their own backpacks.” Their vacation destination wasn't specified and isn't likely to be, as it's a private trip, and the family is entitled to some privacy. The Mirror noted that George and Charlotte are due back in school on November 1, so the family is likely to return to London this weekend.
So how was their time at the airport? The opposite of most people's because they spent it in the Windsor Suite, part of Heathrow's VIP service. According to Heathrow's VIP site, you'll have a private room with a personal butler who will attend to you while you wait for your flight, a “light and seasonal menu designed by British Michelin starred chef Jason Atherton” to munch on, and rather than waiting in line to board, you will be driven to the aircraft to step onto. Security measures will be conducted within the private Windsor Suite you wait in. Prices for this service start from $3,777.85. To be rich, right?
