Queen Elizabeth also sent a sweet birthday message.
The royal family is sending well wishes to Meghan Markle on her 39th birthday.
On Tuesday morning, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a message to the duchess via the Kensington Palace social media accounts, writing, "Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!" alongside a photo of Meghan with a young girl from a public engagement.
The official royal family social media accounts also shared birthday wishes for Meghan with a photo of her and Queen Elizabeth from a 2018 engagement, writing, "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!"
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no longer on any official social media accounts, having shut down the SussexRoyal Instagram account after officially stepping down as senior royals earlier this year.
"While you may not see us here, the work continues," they wrote. "Thank you to this community — for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great!"
It's Meghan's first birthday celebration since she and Harry stepped back from their roles in the royal family, and the couple has spent the last few months in Los Angeles with their son, Archie, after announcing they would be splitting their time between North America and the U.K.

Of course, none of us know how the duchess is really spending her birthday, but royal expert Katie Nicholl theorized to Entertainment Tonight that Meghan might be looking for a change of scenery amid the pandemic (aren't we all?).
"It's been a very stressful time for Meghan, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if she does actually decide to just go on a road trip and have a change of scenery," Nicholl said. "I mean, they've been at the house that they're renting ever since early March now. They really haven't been out much at all."
It's been reported that the Sussexes are renting Tyler Perry's L.A. house until they find a permanent home. In recent weeks, the couple has had to file a lawsuit against paparazzi for an invasion of privacy over photos allegedly taken of Archie via drone.
