Kate Middleton Will Share Her Baby News Like a Cool Mom, Not a Royal Mom
The British royal family is having a rather hectic spring. Not only is the entire Windsor crew getting ready for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but soon they will also welcome Prince William and Kate Middleton’s third child.
William and Kate’s third royal baby is expected to come into the world any day now, and he or she will be warmly welcomed by the entire world in the most millennial way ever: on Instagram.
After the birth, Kensington Palace will follow strict protocol steeped in tradition, with a few new-age action items thrown in for good measure.
After Middleton delivers the baby she and Prince William will be given several hours of privacy to bond with their new little one, The Express explained. Family members, including the Queen, will then be notified of the birth.
Next, an email announcement will be sent out about the birth, at which time the palace will confirm if William and Kate welcomed a baby boy or a baby girl.
After the email, an official announcement will also be posted to an easel providing more information, such as the time of birth and the baby’s weight.
Then, to keep things cool and millennial, the palace will share all of this detailed information in an Instagram and Twitter post, just as they did with the birth of Princess Charlotte.

Mere hours after the birth is announced, William and Kate will be expected to exit out the steps of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital where they will stand for a few moments to take photographs with the press before getting into their own car and driving home, likely to introduce the baby to his or her big brother and sister.
However, when it comes to learning the new baby’s name, the public will likely have to wait a bit longer. With both Prince George and Princess Charlotte, the couple waited a full two days before revealing their monikers. Many people around the globe are already betting on royal baby names anyway. So far, the odds are favoring Mary for a girl and Edward for a boy.
