Kate Middleton Steps Out in a Bright Green Dress to Visit Two Schools This Morning

Over the course of her career as a senior member of the royal family, the Duchess of Cambridge has leant her support to a number of causes. But in recent years, she has seemingly narrowed her focus on organizations that help mothers and children and promote mental health.

Today, Kate is visiting Lavender Primary School in north London during Children's Mental Health Week. She's there in her role as royal patron of Place 2 Be, the charity which started the initiative. This year's week is focusing on the "connection between physical and mental health."

“As a mother of three, the Duchess is determined to raise the profile of children’s mental health as one of her key roles in the Royal Family," a palace source told the Mirror.

"She is passionate about children and their wellbeing, and this focus has already been shown to be a huge part of what she sees as her work. With the Royal Foundation and Heads Together, the royals have laid a path for this subject to be discussed more openly."

For this morning's events, Kate chose to wear a bright green dress by Eponine.

She paired the look with black tights, ankle boots, and a black clutch. See her full outfit here:

Later today, Duchess Kate will visit Aplerton Community School, where she will meet with Adria Zafirakou, an arts and textile teach who won the coveted Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize this year.

Per Kensington Palace, on both school visits today Kate will "find out more about the support offered to students, teachers and parents to help with mental wellbeing."
