Kate Middleton Wears a Festive Emilia Wickstead Plaid Skirt and Brora Top for Her and Prince William's Christmas Party for RAF Families
It's December 4, and Kate Middleton and Prince William are already throwing their very first Christmas party at Kensington Palace. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are hosting the families and children of those deployed in Cyprus for Royal Air Force Coningsby and RAF Marham. For the occasion, Kate wore a black cashmere Brora top and festive red plaid skirt by Emilia Wickstead while William wore jeans, a button-up and a blue sweater.
This is William and Kate's first event of the week but far from their only. The two are expected to attend the Queen's annual reception for members of the Diplomatic Corps, an occasion Kate is likely to wear a tiara to. The next day, William and Kate will travel to Akrotiri, Cyprus to visit RAF personnel serving, their families living on the base, and "wider station personnel and members of the local community," Kensington Palace announced.
Kate and William were last out on Wednesday when they visited Leicester. Kate wore a Catherine Walker coat dress for her two engagements there. It was during her second event, a visit to the University of Leicester, that she dispelled rumors of her and her sister-in-law Meghan Markle feuding by talking excitedly about Meghan's pregnancy.
"Yeah, absolutely, [I’m excited for Meghan and her new baby]," Kate told an onlooker there. "It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well as Louis so it’ll be really special."
She also talked about how excited her children are for the holiday. "They’re getting excited for Christmas time because they’ve started all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees are going up," she said.
