  • Kate Middleton stepped out for a special reception on Tuesday in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Investiture of the Prince of Wales.

  • Kate wore an eye-catching pale blue dress to the Buckingham Palace reception.

  • According to royal correspondent Emily Andrews, Kate's dress was created by a "private dressmaker."

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Prince Charles' Investiture, members of the royal family gathered at Buckingham Palace on March 5, 2019, for a reception held by Queen Elizabeth II.

As usual, both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle looked effortlessly elegant at the occasion. While Meghan paired a silver and gold brocade dress with a chic white coat, Kate opted for a high-necked, pale blue tea dress, perfect for the spring weather. And according to royal correspondent Emily Andrews on Twitter, the Duchess of Cambridge's look was created by Kate's "private dressmaker."

While the name of the designer is yet to be revealed, it's impossible to deny that the dress was flawless on the duchess:

This isn't the first time that Kate has worn a look made by her "private dressmaker," either. Back in April 2013, Marie Claire reported that the Duchess of Cambridge visited Naomi House Hospice in Hampshire, England, wearing a peach coat by Canadian designer Tara Jarmon, with "an apricot dress from a private dressmaker." The visit took place on Kate's wedding anniversary to Prince William, while the duchess was pregnant with Prince George.

And in 2015 when she was pregnant with Princess Charlotte, Kate rocked another maternity look that her private dressmaker helped to create. Per Hello! magazine, Kate visited Home-Start children's center in Woolwich, England, wearing an ASOS maternity dress "with a long black blazer that had been made by her private dressmaker."

For now, at least, the identity of Kate's "private dressmaker" will remain a mystery. But it's undeniable that they've helped to create some of the duchess' most iconic looks.
