Kate Middleton's mint green maternity look is the ultimate in spring style
Spring has officially sprung (March 20 marked the first day of the new season) and pregnant Kate Middleton has dressed for the occasion in a mint green ensemble.
The 36-year-old royal co-hosted an event with The Royal Foundation Wednesday morning at the Royal Society of Medicine in London. The symposium championed early intervention into the lives of children.
“Her Royal Highness is bringing together academics, researchers, practitioners, educators, and charities to discuss perinatal, maternal, and infant mental health; parenting support; and resources for schools,” the KensingtonPalace Twitter account tweeted.
For the event, the Duchess of Cambridge dressed in a brand-new maternity outfit, not to mention a brand-new color scheme. While Kate usually sticks to a fairly neutral palette of navy, cream, and florals (with the odd pop of hot pink), she opted for a bold and fresh green look for her latest appearance.
The royal paired a knee-length dress with a bespoke matching coat by one of her go-to labels, Jenny Packham. The beautiful design boasts a bow as the necktie and gold-trimmed buttons on the sleeve.
Middleton finished the look with a pair of Kiki McDonough earrings (which she’s worn before) and her praline Gianvito Rossi pumps, which she debuted in Belgium last year.
The Duchess is currently in her third trimester of her third pregnancy, with her baby due to arrive next month ahead of the royal wedding on May 19.
It’s not yet been revealed when the Duchess will go on maternity leave. The royal took around a month off before her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born, so this could well be her last moment in the spotlight before her third child with Prince William arrives.
