Kate Middleton’s Royal Train Tour Looks Prove She is the Queen of Good Coats

Grace Fraser is shaking.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have embarked on a "royal train tour" this week.

The couple is riding around the U.K. by train and thanking essential workers along the way. They are also helping to highlight the work of NHS Charities Together and sharing their journey on Instagram.

"This evening, The Duke and Duchess departed on the #RoyalTrainTour to pay tribute to the inspiring work of those who have gone above and beyond to support communities across England, Scotland, and Wales," they wrote in the caption.

Of course, what would a royal event be without a fashion moment? This one comes in the form of Middleton's many coats. In the first video, the Duchess wore a long, fitted green Alexander McQueen jacket that she accessorized with a tartan scarf – she was headed to Scotland after all.

When she got off the train, she had changed into a blue jacket by Catherine Walker that she paired with tall black suede boots and a blue mask.

Twinning moments are even more special when they're royal twinning moments. Kate and William both wore long, dark blue coats to stave off the chill in Batley.

For her next look, Middleton opted for something a bit bolder: a red coat and plaid scarf.

In a press release, Kensington Palace said that the Duke and Duchess will "travel 1250 miles and undertake working visits, meeting frontline workers, volunteers, care home staff, teachers, schoolchildren, and young people to hear about their experiences, sacrifices and the inspiring work they have done throughout this challenging year."

Looks like we may have more great coats in the near future.
