Kate Middleton's tiny baby bump makes its debut in $1,095 lace dress
Kate Middleton made a rare public appearance since announcing her third pregnancy, a sign that she may be making a full return to her royal duties.
The duchess wore a $1,095 blue lace Temperley London dress with black pumps to attend an event for World Mental Health Day on Monday night at Buckingham Palace, along with husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry. The royal family has not confirmed how far along Middleton is in her pregnancy, but she’s reportedly three months.
Since the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared their pregnancy news in September, the mom of two has been keeping a low profile, owing in part to suffering from another bout of hyperemersis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness, which she experienced while carrying both Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2.

The illness prevented the duchess from participating in Prince George’s first day of school drop-off in early September. Instead, Prince William took his son by the hand and led him into Thomas’s Battersea private school in South London while carrying the boy’s blue-and-red backpack.
The last time Middleton made a public appearance was in August, when she accompanied William and Prince Harry to the Diana Memorial Garden at Kensington Palace, one day before the 20th anniversary of the princess’s death. For the occasion, Middleton wore an $1,875 green Prada dress with orange flowers, evoking memories of a similar frock Diana wore in 1981 for a dress rehearsal for her wedding to Prince Charles.
According to People, an aide told reporters, “The duchess’ condition is improving, but she is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. She is delighted to be able to be here tonight.” Mental health has long been a focus for Middleton, who teamed up with William and Harry for the Heads Together Campaign, an initiative to eradicate shame surrounding mental health issues.

“Catherine, Harry, and I are proud to stand up in support of this community,” Prince William said in a speech Monday night. “All three of us have seen that mental health is at the heart of so many of the issues we are passionate about. Catherine has been inspired by the work being done to support children, parents, and teachers to prioritize mental health from the earliest years of life.”
