Kate Spade Fans, Here’s Your First Look at the Brand’s New Direction
It’s the beginning of a new era: Kate Spade New York's current Creative Director Nicola Glass is celebrating the release of her first campaign for the brand. Glass replaced Deborah Lloyd at the brand in November 2017 and debuted her first collection for Kate Spade last September in a playful runway show at the New York Public Library. Today, Kate Spade finally released images from the collection’s ad campaign. It’s safe to say that Glass aced it, bringing the whimsical, girly Kate Spade world to life. But she didn’t do it alone.
Tim Walker, the same photographer who worked with the late Kate Spade and Andy Spade back in 1999, returned to the brand to help bring Glass's vision to life, and he'll be the one shooting all of Kate Spade New York's campaigns for the rest of 2019.

As far as the faces of the campaign, you might recognize them from your favorite shows and movies. Ozark actress Julia Garner, Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, and If Beal Street Could Talk's Kiki Layne are the heroines of this story, posing in front of psychedelic wallpaper while wearing Kate Spade's feminine dresses and popular bags — all styled by Sara Moonves.

“I was thrilled to work with Julia Garner, Sadie Sink, and Kiki Layne on our Spring 2019 campaign," Glass exclusively tells InStyle.com. "These three women are such talented and accomplished actresses, and truly embody our vision of optimistic femininity. As a brand, we encourage women to be the heroines of their own story, and these three women are truly the heroines of their own stories. The brand is a celebration of women across time zones, generations, and style creeds who are living their individual lives to the fullest and believe that, together, everything is possible.”
