Kate Winslet Is Turning 40! See How She's Transformed Over The Years

Happy birthday, Kate Winslet! The English beauty and InStyle cover girl is celebrating the big 4-0 today.

It feels like yesterday we fell under the spell of Titanic and its key stars, Rose and Jack (played, of course, by the one-and-only Leonardo DiCaprio). But Winslet has proven that her talent is nearly peerless with an unending resume of wins: not only does she have an Oscar, but you can count an Emmy, three Golden Globes, and even a Grammy Award under her impressive belt!

Winslet is no stranger to the red carpet—and she's certainly a pro—but she'll have you know that she's never intended to draw much attention to herself. "I don’t really want to be the person that everyone is staring at," she said recently at the Toronto International Film Festival. "In fact, I’m quite the opposite. I don't think I've ever really worn a dress that I knew would turn heads, and I actually spend my time not wearing those kinds of dresses."
