Katharine McPhee and David Foster's Toddler Blows Fans Away With Impressive Drum Solo
What can we say—it's in his genes!
Katharine McPhee and David Foster's offspring clearly have musical talent running through their veins.
The married couple—who are both involved in the music industry—are parents to 2-year-old son Rennie, and it seems like they might have a child prodigy on their hands.
Foster, 73, recently shared a video of the toddler to Instagram to show off his impressive skills on the drums—and the results are actually astonishing.
In the clip, Rennie gets creative with chopsticks and uses them as drumsticks while banging out a pretty fast beat. And while he seemed to just be playing around, he appeared to have some not-so-silly skills when it comes to keeping a rhythm.

If you felt like eyes and ears were deceiving you after watching the impressive video—you're not alone—tons of Foster's followers were equally amazed by the tot's skillful drum solo.
"WHAT!" Brody Jenner, who is Foster's former stepson, commented under the post, calling Rennie a "Little prodigy.'
"This is amazing. Seriously I am in awe. Of course," actress Selma Blair chimed in.
"WHAT IN THE ……. ??????" added Olivia Munn.
The legendary Kristin Chenoweth also gave her take on the video, writing, "I’m. Dead. Is this real? I mean come ON !!"
"Unreal!!!!! Like I’ve NEVER seen EVER," added pianist and vocal coach Michael Orland.
"Holy Toledo ?? Wow," Kyle Richards, who co-starred with Foster's ex-wife Yolanda Hadid on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, exclaimed.
Even Rennie's mom seemed to be amazed by the talent, as McPhee, 39, even left a comment under her husband's Instagram post, with just a simple "??" emoji.
Some followers tried to claim that the video was fake or edited to make it look like Rennie was playing faster than he was—but with two parents like Foster and McPhee, is it really all that surprising?
