Katherine Schwarzenegger is 'thankful' for Chris Pratt: He 'thinks of kind ways to make the world a better place'
With Thanksgiving just days away, Katherine Schwarzenegger is encouraging people to spread more kindness by thinking about “something or someone you’re thankful for” and letting them what they mean to you. For the 29-year-old author, her first message of gratitude was for her husband, Chris Pratt.
“I am grateful for this bike ride with my wonderful husband,” she wrote on Instagram on Saturday. “While we were riding our bikes, he said let’s give out real honest compliments to people we pass and see what happens. We did, and not only did random compliments surprise people on the bike path, they also made us feel good.
“This reminded me of how thankful I am to be married to someone who thinks of kind ways to make the world a better place,” she said.
The 29-year-old acknowledged that “this week comes with a lot of mixed feelings for people about returning home, traveling and missing loved ones,” noting that “everyone needs a little extra love as they navigate their way through this time.”
She commended her mother, Maria Shriver, for always doing “a great job opening her home and dinner table to everyone.”
Shriver responded to her daughter’s post, applauding her “great wise message” in the comments.
“Can’t wait to see you we are excited you are coming home,” the NBC News special anchor wrote.
This is Schwarzenegger and The Guardians of the Galaxy actor’s first Thanksgiving together as a married couple. The pair tied the knot in June in Montecito, Calif., following a five-month engagement.
