Katherine Schwarzenegger is pregnant for the very first time — and she happens to be going through it during a worldwide pandemic that involves self-quarantine, sanitizing, and wearing masks. It's a lot to handle when you're not pregnant, but the author explained during Instagram Live session with her friend, Dr. Zelana Montminy, that she's making the best of things. Naturally, she namedrops her husband, Chris Pratt, saying that he's been "wonderful" during her pregnancy.

When Montminy asked Schwarzenegger how she was handling everything, she explained that she was doing just fine. She happens to be quarantining with Pratt and is close to her family, too, so she expressed her appreciation for that support system.

"Really well, actually. I'm really lucky to be living in very close proximity to my family, which has been very helpful," Schwarzenegger said. "And then, obviously, I have a very wonderful husband who's very, it's been amazing having him home and also very understanding about my need to sanitize everything, having everyone wear masks all the time. That's been helpful."

She added that being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic has been an "interesting" experience, so she's grateful to have pals like Montminy to lean on.

"Also, having people like you who I text constantly about everything baby because I'm learning as I go and it's been an interesting time to be pregnant," she said.

Schwarzenegger announced that she was expecting back in April. Though it's her first child, Pratt shares a son, Jack, with his ex-wife, Anna Faris. Schwarzenegger and Pratt recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary but kept all the celebrations low-key.

"Chris and Katherine have had an incredible first year of marriage," a source told Entertainment Tonight on June 8. "The couple plans to celebrate their first wedding anniversary today with something small as their baby is set to arrive soon."

The source noted that the quarantine was great for the couple, who are using the time to enjoy each other's company and to prepare for the new arrival.

"Chris and Katherine are thankful for their alone time recently as it has allowed them to enjoy the pregnancy together, giving them a forced sense of time to relax and prepare," the source added. "They know their baby is coming soon and can’t wait to welcome their new addition.”
