Katie Couric Enchants in Colorful Ball Gown Alongside Rarely-Seen Husband John Molner

Katie Couric recently had a glamorous night out with her husband John Molner.
The couple attended the 2023 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala at David H. Koch Theater, Lincoln Center on Oct. 24 in New York City, posing for photos together at the event.
Couric donned an elegant and voluminous strapless ball gown featuring a myriad of colors, while the financier, for his part, appeared the perfect date in a classic, dark suit and tie look for the function.
In captures taken on the red carpet, the pair—who celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary in June—stood lovingly in a close embrace, before heading inside where they were snapped leaning over on a ledge, Katie putting a little leg on display through a slit in her gown.
The longtime broadcast journalist and her hubby looked to be enjoying their time together, as they both shot wide-toothed grins toward the camera, a few drinks sitting nearby.
Though the two have no children together, Couric is mom to two adult daughters—Elinor “Ellie” Monahan, 31, and Caroline “Carrie” Monahan, 27—with her late first husband, Jay Monahan, whom died in 1998 at the age of 42 after a battle with colon cancer.
"Cancer has had a huge impact on me personally, having lost my husband, Jay, in 1998 from colon cancer and my sister, Emily, two years later from pancreatic cancer. I think the most powerless feeling you have is not being able to help someone you love conquer this disease," she previously told People of the loss.
The Going There author met Molner in 2012. They quickly fell in love, were engaged in 2013, and married the next year. He also has two children of his own, Allie and Henry, whom he shares with ex-wife, Jane Franke.
