Katie Couric Grants 'Jeopardy' Contestant's Wish: 'Ask and Ye Shall Receive'

Katie Couric is just out here making one fan's dreams come true.
The journalist and former Jeopardy! guest host had the ultimate response after one contestant made a personal plea to Couric during Thursday's episode—and we are living for it.
Brendan Sargent, who previously competed on Season 37 of Jeopardy! back when Couric was guest hosting, recently got back on the Alex Trebek Stage for the Champions Wildcard tournament, where he reflected on his time sharing the stage with Couric.
"I was lucky enough to have Katie Couric as host, and she was really nice—I couldn’t ask for anything better," he told host Ken Jennings, per TV Insider. But Sargent admitted that he still had some unfinished business with the former TODAY show anchor.
That's when Sargent explained that Couric had taken a selfie of the three contestants on stage at the time. "I told everyone in my life about it and...I never saw the selfie," he said.
"So I am using this platform to urge Katie Couric to please release the selfie so people know it exists," he added.
In response, Couric, 66, happily obliged to Sargent's request, finally releasing the missing selfie to her Instagram page after the episode aired.
"Hey @brendanpsargent ! ??" she wrote under the selfie. "Ask and ye shall receive!"
"Glad I didn’t delete it!" she added, while signing off, "Your friend, Katie." She also included the hashtags, "#thecaseofthemissingselfie," #releasetheselfie" and #yesthishappened.
Of course, Brendan was one happy camper after seeing Couric's post, taking to the comments to exclaim, "Oh my GOD."
"I can't believe this," he wrote, while telling Couric, "Thank you so much!"
It looks like the case of the missing Jeopardy! selfie is officially closed!
