Silver and zebra print may not be the first combination that comes to mind when drawing up your fall fashion fits, but actress Katie Holmes pulled off the duo like a pro.

Yesterday in New York City, while attending the 2019 FilmAid 'Power of Film' Benefit, Holmes stepped out wearing a satin, long-sleeved maxi dress with a lace hem by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. The frock's high-leg slit gave the perfect peek-a-boo moment for her knockout footwear: a pair of knee-high, zebra haircalf heeled boots by Khaite (these bad boys currently retail at a whopping $1,800).

The edgy footwear comes from the same brand behind Holmes's viral cardigan-and-bralette ensemble, which sealed her status as the style icon of the moment.

With chilling temperatures blowing over the city, Holmes layered up with a long black coat. And, as if the silver sheen and zebra print wasn't bold enough, she finished up the look with some epic Euphoria-inspired makeup, an electric purple eyeshadow smudged against her eyelids. The most surprising part of her outfit? All these seemingly mismatched pieces actually looked great on her.

FilmAid's event, the 20th Anniversary Power of Film Benefit, works to train refugee youth so that they can deliver crucial information to and tell the stories of their communities. Explaining their mission, the organization's website reads, "Information and education are critical to the health, safety, and dignity of all communities. During periods of crisis, timely and accurate information is essential to securing food, medicine, shelter, and emergency services."
