Katie Holmes Just Stepped Out in a Knit Top & We’re Having Flashbacks to That Iconic Knit Bra
Another summer, another iconic knit top worn by Katie Holmes on the streets of NYC.
Yup, almost exactly one year after Holmes shocked the world in her matching knit bra and sweater ensemble, the Dawson’s Creek star stepped out in another knit top by the same brand, Khaite. According to British Vogue, last week, the 41-year-old was spotted running errands in a cream Lucie corset top, blue jeans and a pair of white sneakers. She topped off her look with a matching knitted bag, black sunglasses and, of course, a black mask.
In a rare turn of events, the Khaite top is still in stock, although it has a hefty price tag of $780.
ICYMI: Last August, Holmes made headlines when she rocked a skin-baring beige sweater and matching bra set from Khaite, while out with her daughter Suri Cruise. Cruise wore a white collared top and jeans, and the two looked like twins as they hailed a cab together. (See the pic here.)
Holmes's sweater ($1,540) and knit bra ($520) combo by Khaite screamed transitional weather outfit. She paired the slouchy cardigan, which she wore off her shoulder to show a bit of skin (we're loving the daring sartorial spin on this lewk), with high-waisted blue jeans and heeled mules.
Earlier this year, she spoke out about the bra seen ’round the world in an interview with InStyle. “Honestly, I wasn’t feeling so sexy. And I saw that and was like, ‘Sexy. I can do that!’” Holmes told the mag. “I thought it would be good if I was in a cabin sitting by the fire and wore the [matching] sweater over it. That’s how my brain works.”
We wonder what occasion she originally bought this top for.
