Katy Perry Songwriter Camela Leierth-Segura Missing for Almost 2 Months
Camela Leierth-Segura, a Swedish model-turned-musician who previously collaborated with Katy Perry, has been missing for nearly two months.
The 48-year-old singer-songwriter is credited with co-writing Perry's 2013 song "Walking on Air" off her Prism album. The last point of contact for Leierth-Segura is listed as Beverly Hills on June 29, according to her missing person's page on the California Department of Justice website.
Friends of the missing woman told ABC7 that her car, a 2010 silver Ford Fusion, was last seen "in the middle of the night" on June 30. She was also reportedly evicted before her disappearance, and her 19-year-old pet cat Morris has not been seen since either.
"I'd like to think nothing bad happened, but do I think something bad happened? Yeah," her friend Cecilia Foss told the outlet.
Her friend, Liz Montgomery, filed a missing persons report and also posted about Leierth-Segura's disappearance on Instagram on Aug. 9, urging followers to help in the ongoing search for her friend.
"We are desperately seeking information on the whereabouts of our dear friend, and sister, Camela Leierth, who may also be using the name Camela Leierth Segura," Montgomery wrote in her post, noting that, "Camela has been missing since June 29th, and her last known contact was in Beverly Hills, California."
"We are extremely worried about her safety, and despite our best efforts, the local authorities have not been able to locate her," the message continued, urging, "If you have any information, even the smallest detail can help, please reach out immediately."
"She means the world to us and time is of the essence. Her family in Sweden is pleading for your assistance," Montgomery added.
"PLEASE spread the word, SHARE this post, and help us bring Camela home safely," she pleaded before concluding, "Thank you for your support and assistance in this critical matter."
Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Beverly Hills Police Department at 310-285-2184.
