Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Donate $500,000 As Australian Bushfires Continue
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are, without a doubt, proud Australians. They share a home in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, where they often spend time. Unsurprisingly, the brushfires happening in the couples' homeland is firmly on their minds right now.
On her Instagram Saturday, Kidman posted an announcement that she and Urban have donated money to help Australia, and she included information about how others can help, too.
"Our family’s support, thoughts, and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia," she wrote. "We are donating $500,000 to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now."

Kidman and Urban's home has not been affected by the fires, but her representative told People that it is not exactly outside of the danger zone. "Their house is not on fire," the rep said. "It is under threat, so they are keeping a close eye on it."
Kidman has also been outspoken about the fires in Australia outside of social media. When she attended a Saturday Golden Globes event ahead of the awards tonight, Kidman was visibly upset on the red carpet, Us reported.
According to the publication, the Oscar winner stopped reporters trying to speak to her on the carpet and said, “I’m so sorry. I’m so distracted right now with everything that’s happening in Australia.”
A source told Us just before she arrived at the event that Kidman had just found out that her home with Urban is in danger.
“She just found out and got off a plane right before coming here,” the source said. “She was crying walking in.”
