Keke Palmer Fans Defend Her After Boyfriend Darius Jackson's Public Criticism

Keke Palmer's fans are jumping to her defense after a recent outfit she wore received a harsh review from her boyfriend, Darius Jackson.

Earlier this week, the Nope star attended one of Usher's shows at his Las Vegas residency, taking to social media to display her sheer excitement for being there. While the actress shared videos singing along to the hitmaker's tunes, joining the "OMG" singer for a dance, and generally having a great time, Jackson decided to take to social media with some feelings of his own.

Specifically, her beau seemed to take issue with her dress of choice, a black high neck, long-sleeved sheer dress revealing a bodysuit underneath. "It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom," he wrote in a tweet on his since-deleted Twitter account.

The couple shares infant son Leodis, whom they welcomed in February.

Fans of the Scream Queens alum didn't take too kindly to the way Jackson reacted, as they felt he shamed the mother of his child online.

"I do think Keke Palmer baby-daddy Darius could’ve sent her text or called her if he had an issue. But to come online to humiliate the mother of your child is beyond me. I think he was more concern with the interaction between her and Usher," one disgruntled fan tweeted, in part.

Following the viral moment, Keke posted a recap of the evening on Instagram, giving no notice to the online chatter about what had been said about her ensemble.

"I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late!" she opened the caption of the upload, which featured several pics of her flaunting the fabulous look.

She continued, writing, "I am telling y'all right now, if you haven't seen @usher YOU MUST GO!! HE WAS SO FABULOUS!! Giving theater, Atlanta downnn, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic. I was truly inspired as a performer. I whooped some ass in spades too! Where is that pic of us all together with the King himself?? @noraradd"

"Keke said 'so anyways' ??," one fan joked in the comments of the post, while another followed up with, "Keke.. now you know we do not play about you right?" effectively communicating that her fans will always support her.

The True Jackson, VP alum previously opened up about seeing Jackson become a dad, telling ET, "I guess I don't know what I would've expected, but I think he's just so attentive."

She continued: "I guess that's what you want all fathers to be. But it's even more than I expected it. I just really am grateful to have such an amazing partner to do this with," later adding, "I think that is obviously why we had the kid together. I saw way before that he had the dedication, the patience and the discipline to be an amazing dad, and that's why I wanted to have my baby with him."

Let this ordeal serve as a lesson that some thoughts should just be addressed in-person... not on the internet.
