Kelly Clarkson Album's Deluxe Version Will Feature a Very Special Guest
Kelly Clarkson has a treat for her fans: a deluxe version of her 10th and latest studio album, Chemistry.
Even better, the "Since U Been Gone" singer revealed there will be a very special guest cameo: Her 9-year-old daughter, River Rose.
The 41-year-old pop artist posted a cover image on Instagram on Thursday, August 17, announcing that the second iteration was available for pre-order and pre-save ahead of its Sept. 22 release, and eagle-eyed fans promptly noticed that one of the songs is "featuring River Rose."
The extended version of the original record, which was initially released on June 23, will feature eight new songs, including the one with her child, entitled "you don't make me cry."
The mom-of-two's endearing collaboration comes after she recently revealed what her kids think of her music. Earlier this summer, the powerhouse vocalist sat down with host Mike Adam, of the Audacy Check-In podcast, to discuss the reason why her children have become increasingly more interested in her artistry.
"[I] don't really listen to my stuff around [my kids]," Clarkson said during the chat. "So even my other stuff, I guess they were listening to my music with somebody else because my daughter asked to hear 'Whole Lotta Woman' and I was like, 'How do you know that song?'"
Further, the "Piece by Piece" songstress explained that basically, her kids just want to listen to her tunes so they can have a pass to say cuss words.
"But she wanted to say 'ass' really. She was like, 'Can I sing 'ass?' And I was like, 'Only with me.' I was like, 'You can't do this anywhere else,'" The Kelly Clarkson Show host hilariously divulged.
In addition to her daughter, Clarkson also shares son Remington "Remy" Alexander, 7, with ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
