Kelly Clarkson Fans Lose It Over Her 'Country Twang' in Miley Cyrus Cover

Fans are loving how Kelly Clarkson brought her own singing style to her Kellyoke cover of Miley Cyrus' "Used To Be Young"—including her "country twang."
The "Because Of You" singer performed the 2023 track for the popular segment of her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, with Clarkson rocking an edgy and elegant outfit of a midi leather skirt, heels and a gray top.
Clarkson often gets compliments for her performances, whether they're covers or original songs, and the newest cover was no exception.
Fans cheered her on in the comments, with one praising the star's ability to imbue songs with deep emotion, writing, "Kelly can sing anything with such feelings and emotions. She’s amazing in talented beyond measure. She brings the words to life."
"That country twang in Kelly’s voice is gold. Chills everywhere! ????????," said another, as a third commented on how Clarkson puts her personal style into every cover, writing, "Damn! Kelly can sing everything and make it sound like her own song."
Clarkson's fans continued to pile on the love as they discussed her vocal talent and charm. On Instagram, fans reacting to the cover shared hopes for a Clarkson and Cyrus duet someday, while more wished for an album of all of her Kellyoke covers, or at least for them to be on Spotify and other music streaming sites.
There was a Kellyoke EP released in 2022 with six covers, including songs like Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” and The Weeknd's “Call Out My Name.” But Clarkson hasn't officially released any more covers since then, and fans are clamoring for more.
Clarkson's most recent full-length CD release was Chemistry, which came out in June 2023, kicking off her Las Vegas residency that went until mid-August, although the star later added more dates for December and February 2024.
