Kelly Clarkson Fans React to Her Recent Social Media Snafu

If you're wondering why Kelly Clarkson's Instagram comments are filled with fans thanking a person named Jake, you came to the right place because we've gotten to the bottom of it for you.

Following her two big wins at the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday, Dec. 15, Clarkson's team was behind the scenes preparing to issue a statement on social media. Unfortunately, the person responsible for posting the message shared a little too much.

The snafu found in the caption of the Instagram upload has since been edited, but before the correction was issued, the presumed social media manager—named Jake—accidentally included the instructions he was given to post the statement.

"Hey Jake do you mind getting this up for Kelly tonight?" the caption began, as seen in a screenshot published in the Daily Mail's coverage of The Kelly Clarkson Show's recent accolades.

Soon after uploading the message, fans quickly pointed out Jake's mistake, with one even declaring, "EVERYONE THANK JAKE," which is how the many notes of gratitude and comments like "Impeccable work Jake" got their start.

"Jake you forgot to delete the first sentence ??," another top-liked comment read.

"I think the Emmy should go to Jake ????," someone else joked.

"His new nickname is 'Copy and paste' Jake. ??????," a different fan quipped.

There were also calls to "give Jake a raise," with one suggesting," Jake deserves a raise ?? this late on a Friday night."

The statement has since been edited to only include Clarkson's gratitude for her wins, now reading: "Thank you so much!!! I am so proud of my whole team for our wins tonight!! Thank you to all of the people that started this show with us and to all of those who joined us this season! Thank you to all of the guests and fans that take time out of their lives and schedules to come hang with us! We are beyond blessed, and grateful, and so thankful for our new family and friends at 30 Rock who have been so supportive of our new home ??."

But seriously, a huge congrats to Kelly and her team on their two big wins—which include the Daytime Emmy Award for Best Daytime Talk Series and Best Daytime Talk Series Host—and, of course, a huge shoutout to Jake!
