On Thursday, the 39-year-old American Idol alum dropped several lyrics on Instagram, including “Lost at first/ Thinking that I might/ Be cursed/ Winter wonderlands weren’t made for one.” The next day, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter shared a few more lines “just in case” fans wanted to learn them before her new song debuts this week. “I’ll be hangin’ every light I find in this house/ Playin’ Christmas music so loud/ This year Christmas won’t be quite so blue,” her Instagram post read.

Following the back-to-back lyric previews, Kelly’s fans couldn’t help but think this particular song is about her ex Brandon Blackstock. Although the song seems to start off somber, it sounds like it picks up to be a more optimistic holiday tune.

“Here we go! The Divorce album is coming!!!” one person wrote. “Xmas album with some shade! Ayooo,” another added. “This is hidden savage s--t ????????,” a different fan said. “What a great title!” a follower commented. “Best breakup album everrrrrr ??,” someone else remarked.

Many also drew a comparison between the line “winter wonderlands weren’t made for one” and her 2013 jazzy pop song called “Winter Dreams (Brandon’s Song).” In it, Kelly sang about her first Christmas with Brandon after the two got married that same year on October 20.

Last summer, Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon after six years of marriage citing "irreconcilable differences." When season 2 of The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered later that fall, Kelly addressed the news, saying, "Definitely didn’t see anything coming that came, but what I’m dealing with is hard — it involves more than just my heart, it involves a lot of little hearts."

Although she went on to note that she wouldn’t be sharing too much about her divorce for the sake her two children — River, 7, and Remington, 5 — Kelly shared that she would process it in her own way. "Music has always been my outlet to get through difficult times and this year I’ve been listening to a lot of music, and I’ve also been writing a lot of music as well."
