Kelly Clarkson continued stunning fans with her impressive singing talents as she covered a newer version of a decades-old classic this week on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show.
During "Kellyoke" on Monday, March 25, the American Idol winner performed her take on “Beggin’,” a song initially recorded in the mid-1960s by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Several artists have recorded their own covers of the song over the years, but Clarkson, 41, decided to sing a newer version recorded by M?neskin that has been popular following its release in 2017. The Kelly Clarkson Show later shared a clip of her performance on social media.
Clarkson’s performance of the Italian rock group’s fast-paced version had some fans wondering how she managed to take in enough air to keep herself going while hitting high notes and singing lyrics at a rapid pace.

Some fans reiterated ongoing calls for Clarkson to release an album of cover songs like “Beggin’” that have appeared on “Kellyoke” over the years, while others told the “Since U Been Gone” singer that they hoped the 89-year-old Valli had a chance to hear her perform the updated version of the song.
Several other fans focused their comments on praise for Clarkson. “There’s nobody in the world that has that cry in their voice like Kelly does,” one fan wrote. “She is absolutely sublime.”
“She can sing the phone book and I would listen,” another Instagram user wrote.
“This kind of performance would be an artist’s career highlight and it’s literally just a Tuesday afternoon for Kelly Clarckson,” one fan commented after the show uploaded a video of her performance on YouTube.
