Kelly Clarkson Stuns Fans With Barefoot Cover of Indie Ballad: ‘The Range’
Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson's most recent Kellyoke cover has fans convinced that she "can sing anything."
On Thursday, Feb. 1, the Grammy winner and talk show host took the stage on the set of The Kelly Clarkson Show barefoot, only wearing a vibrant red dress and some eye-popping makeup.
As the live studio audience cheered, Clarkson, 41, began singing her own rendition of "Quietly Yours" by British singer-songwriter Birdy.
Hours after the performance initially aired, the show's social team uploaded a clip to YouTube, and fans didn't waste any time sharing how impressed they were.
"The vocal range is insane...you sang it so beautifully!!!" one top-liked YouTube comment read.
"She has the most versatile voice I've ever heard," a second declared. "Soft or powerful she can do it all. And I am so happy that I get to hear her sing on a regular basis like this. So many of my favorite singers have disappeared. Keep singing girl!!!"
"Her talent is a gift & a blessing for us! #vocalgold," someone else exclaimed.
"I LOVE that she was barefoot!" another wrote. "Can’t get enough of this beautiful genuine authentic woman!"
"The only problem with this song is it's too short," a different YouTuber quipped. "Kelly can sing anything."
Those who caught the moment on Instagram were also stunned.
"I mean this range for the backing vocal ????," one wildly impressed fan pointed out. "MY GOSSHHH ????????." To which Clarkson's team replied by giving credit where credit is due, shouting out musician and vocal director Jessi Collins, "this is a @jesscollins stan account."
"Artist Beware Kelly covers… they’re always better…," another joked before a second suggested, "when kelly gets a hold of singing YOUR song, it is HERS NOW. ?????♂?."
