Kelly Ripa Fangirls Over Owner of 'Kelly Ripug' in Adorable 'Live!' Interaction

Kelly Ripa

An audience interaction on a new episode of Live with Kelly and Mark left the hosts and one lucky audience member filled with excitement.

In a clip shared to the show's Instagram account on Tuesday, Oct. 11, Kelly Ripa walked over to someone in the audience and asked, “You’re the owner of Kelly Ripug?" referring to a popular internet-famous dog named after Ripa. The man, whose name is Jerry Power, confirmed that he was, and Ripa exclaimed, “We have to get a picture together. I’m obsessed!”

Power then told Ripa that he brought her and Mark Consuelos t-shirts that matched the one he was wearing, with his dog Kelly Pipug on the front, but the staff told him he couldn't give them to her. But Ripa wasn't having that and said, "Yes, you can!"

Ripa then shared how she wanted to meet the pug in person, but again, Power said the show wouldn't allow it. In response, Ripa turned directly to a camera near her and jokingly said, “This is such bulls--t!"

Power and Ripa continued to share how excited they were to meet one another, with the dog owner saying, “This is, like, the best moment of my life. I’m dying. You’re my Judy Garland," before Consuelos joined in, just as enthusiastic as his wife.

Although Kelly Ripug couldn't be on the show, the hosts and Power got to get a picture together later, with Live with Kelly and Mark including a clip of their interaction in the social media post.

Fans in the comments really loved how sweet Power was and how excited he got to meet Ripa and Consuelos, as one replied, "He was genuinely sooooo happy n kind ...Omygosh made me smile ..that was sweet ??????."

"I can’t stop watching- it makes me so happy!! ??," said another, as a third agreed, "Oh Jerry. This is pure gold!!!!!Woohooo!!!!! ??????."

Many fans also wanted Ripa to meet the pug in person, and who knows, maybe the four-legged friend will be the next guest on Live with Kelly and Mark.
