The 2023 Oscars have come and gone. But before viewers learned who won the biggest honors of the night, Live fans missed Kelly Ripa having a rare date night with husband Mark Consuelos.
When the longtime couple showed up at the 95th Academy Awards, Mark let his wife of 26 years have her fashion moment on the red carpet. Unlike her usual daytime attire, the TV host caused a commotion while wearing a see-through black lace gown. Along with the sheer effect, what made the look stand out even more was the significant cutout in the back, with only a thin strap going across it.
But like years' past, the Live Wire author couldn't take on an Oscars arrival by herself. The newly minted morning show co-host quickly came along to stand beside Kelly in his own matching black tuxedo, bowtie and a blue-toned buttoned shirt.
What's more, Mark posted a candid picture of the duo right before they headed in to watch the ceremony live on his Instagram Story. But one photo wasn't enough.
After walking the red carpet, the Riverdale actor also commemorated the special event with a post on his Instagram feed. "Date night with my fav @kellyripa," he captioned it.
Unsurprising, Kelly followed up Mark's snaps with her own Instagram post. "Mom and Dad attend the #oscars champagne carpets and caviar dreams ????," she wrote.
While Kelly and Mark often give their followers a look at their private life on social media, it's not often the two get glammed up for a major event. Naturally, folks rushed to exclaim how much they enjoyed seeing them in attendance.
"You guys are simply breathtaking ... So looking forward of you two on LIVE ... yay ??," one person commented on Instagram. "?????? on another level!!!!" someone else chimed in. "Amazing, you are stunning! Literally a power couple," a different user agreed.
Long story short, the upcoming Live co-hosts know how to make a statement no matter where they go. And in just a few weeks, viewers will get them permanently as Mark shared that his first official day will be on April 17.
