Kendall Jenner accused of 'ruining the environment' after posting videos of herself doing doughnuts in Rolls Royce
Kendall Jenner has had a week’s worth of birthday celebrations after throwing an early Halloween-themed party with a bunch of friends and family. But on Sunday, the birthday girl did something else to celebrate turning another year older: She learned how to drift in a Rolls Royce.
The supermodel and reality TV star took to her Instagram on Monday to share videos and photos from her 24th birthday celebration, which took place on a race track. There, she said that her friends all brought their cars to participate in the adrenaline-inducing activity.
At first, Jenner was captured sitting in the passenger seat of the car, while a professional was at the wheel showing attendees how to maneuver the vehicle. Later videos and those posted by her friends, however, showed Jenner taking control of the wheel as she sped down the track.
Although the 24-year-old said that the activity “makes me happy,” some critics took to the comments section of her posts to shame her about the environmental impact. Not to mention, the damage it may have on the expensive cars that they were driving.
“Rich people activities,” one person commented, while another added, “Must be nice.”
Others wrote, “Can we just talk about how y’all are drifting a $650k car like it’s nothing” in reference to the Rolls Royce and Ferrari shown in photos. “Productive day ruining the environment,” wrote another.
Jenner’s sister, Kim Kardashian West also faced criticism after posting photos from the day to wish her younger sibling a happy birthday. One person even reacted with a meme of 16-year-old activist, Greta Thunberg.

Still, others continued to wish Jenner a happy birthday, while providing warnings to be careful.
“Calling Geico Now,” a friend joked.
Others called the day “birthday goals” and wrote “one of the dopest shoots/adventures I’ve ever seen.”
