Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are Showstoppers in Bold Versace Looks
While Jennifer Lopez may have completely shut down the Versace runway in Milan on Friday, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid had their own Versace moment while heading to the show’s after party. The two models stepped out in bold printed looks by the label on Friday night in the Italian city, where they met up with Kaia Gerber, who rocked her own Versace-printed outfit.
Jenner snapped an elevator selfie of her in the zebra-printed look, showing off her newly dyed blonde hair as well. Jenner, Hadid, and Gerber all walked in the show on Friday, which took over the Internet thanks to a surprise appearance by Jennifer Lopez, who walked the runway in a recreation of her iconic green Grammys dress. Yes, the one that resulted in the creation of Google Images.
“So this just happened…” Lopez wrote on Instagram, adding the hashtags #stillgoingstrong and #20yearanniversary.
Versace posted its own photo of the legendary moment, writing, “For the Spring-Summer 2020 Collection, Versace honors an iconic moment when fashion and culture became a catalyst for technological progress. Passionate for constant innovation, Chief Creative Officer, @donatella_versace uses the latest technology – the Google Assistant – to call for @jlo wearing the Jungle dress on the runway, creating yet another unforgettable, Google-worthy Versace moment.”
Lopez recently talked to Vogue about the impact that The Dress had on her career.
“That was a moment that captured people’s imaginations, I think . . . in terms of my career, this dress really marked a moment in time,” she said. “Even if you don’t know my music and you don’t know my movies, people know about that moment and that dress. That was it.”
