Kendall Jenner Isn't Walking Any New York Fashion Week Shows This Season
While Kendall Jenner is very much in town for New York Fashion Week, the model reportedly isn't walking any runway shows. According to W and Vogue, Jenner is taking the season off.
Jenner sat front row at the Longchamp show and spoke to Wabout her decision to do that instead of walk the runway. "It’s always a bit different," she said. "It’s always fun to be on the other side of things and get to be on the other side of the craziness. I actually enjoy it. I love being able to see the collections when they are brand new."
She also touched on her anxiety with fashion month. "I try to keep myself cool. I go in and out of having freak-outs, so I just have to chill out and be by myself," she said. It's not clear whether Jenner will change her mind and book a fashion week show last-minute or if she has any plans to do shows over in Milan, London, or Paris during the rest of fashion month.
Jenner's decision comes after she was under controversy last month for her remarks about models who work dozens of shows each season. She took to Twitter to clarify her meaning and the respect she has for those colleagues:
I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context.I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!

I get to experience first hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, stress of traveling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful.

Jenner didn't walk any shows last New York fashion week either, due to her anxiety.
