Princess Charlotte Will Attend the Same School as Prince George Starting Next Week

It’s official: Princess Charlotte is enrolling in the same school as her big brother, Prince George.

Kensington Palace has revealed that the 4-year-old will start at Thomas’s Battersea, a private school in London, on Thursday, September 5. The palace originally announced back in May that Princess Charlotte will be joining her older brother at the famed primary school, though no official date was confirmed at the time.

The official (and rather simple) statement read: “Princess Charlotte will join Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea from September 2019 this year.”

“We are delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea,” said Simon O'Malley, headmaster at Thomas’s Battersea. “We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September.”

But these two aren’t the only royal students at the prestigious institution. The prince and princess’s 5-year-old cousin Maud Windsor, daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman, also attends.

In case you missed it, George started at the school back in 2017 and to mark the momentous occasion, we got a peek at some seriously adorable pics of him and his dad (aka the future king) at the school drop-off. And who can forget his quaint “summer uniform” consisting of a navy V-neck sweater and matching shorts?

We imagine George will make Charlotte’s first day much less nerve-racking. And who knows, maybe Kate Middleton and Prince Louis will be on drop-off duty this year. Talk about a family affair.
