Kesha's New Video "Praying" Is Filled with Enviable Beauty Looks

After legal squabbles that held Kesha’s music hostage for years, the singer is finally back and better than ever with her new single “Praying.” While everyone is loving on the new soul-baring tune, beauty obsessives are delighting in all the inspiring and out-there looks she’s rocking in the song’s promo and video.

While wearing face paint and glitter-painted boobs, she promoted the new song on Instagram Thursday, and fans are loving her fresh vision and how it relates to the star’s previous iterations of herself. One fan left a comment noting, “It’s interesting to me how visually colorful the video is, and how you’ve always been colorful, but it means something so different now.”

At the beginning of the video, we see Kesha inside a casket and wearing an embellished headpiece, a nose ring, and deep dark blue lipstick. She narrates, “Am I dead? Or, is this one of those dreams – those horrible dreams, that seem like they last forever?” From there, we move forward in old-school Kesha fashion with colorful outtakes of her playing with makeup and also rocking really long Nicki Minaj-like platinum blond hair.

Additionally, there is a cool moment where she walks past a stack of old television screens with interesting messages such as, “you need more stuff” and “standard of beauty.” Not too long after that, the screen cuts to Kesha wearing a big fluffy red and white coat while smearing what appears to be lipstick all over her face with bright nails designed with eccentric red and blue art. She closes the video in a tri-colored off-the-shoulder dress and mesmerizing wavy hair all while serenely standing in the ocean under a vibrant rainbow. To say the least, it’s like Coachella style x 1000 — feathers, gowns, colors-galore — and many of her fans are here for it.
