Kevin Costner Is Out at 'Yellowstone' (Maybe for Real This Time)
Kevin Costner is seemingly done with Yellowstone. According to a new report from ET, the actor will not return to the series after Season 5.
The future of Paramount’s hit Western has been tied up like a wild horse for months now, with reports that Costner, who plays show patriarch John Dutton, might exit the show due to an alleged rift between himself and co-creator Taylor Sheridan over the actor's filming availability (or lack thereof).

Speaking at a Yellowstone panel last month, select cast-members, including Josh Lucas (young John Dutton), Wendy Moniz (Lynelle Perry), Mo Brings Plenty (Mo) and Dawn Olivieri (Sarah Atwood), confirmed that the second half of the show's fifth season hadn't even started filming yet—and that remains the case to this day.
Understandably, sources tell ET that "there's been a lot of confusion and frustration" in the behind-the-scenes world of Yellowstone.

This week has been a bad one for Costner all around: Yesterday, his wife of 18 years, Christine Baumgartner, filed for a divorce. A rep for the actor told TMZ, "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine's and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time."
