Kevin Kwan & Amy O’Dell Guest Star on Episode 6 of #Unbuttoned
Kevin Kwan, who is the author of Crazy Rich Asians and its follow up China Rich Girlfriend, spoke with Joe Zee about his bestselling books. In his novels, Kwan reveals the secret layers of the lives of the super rich in Mainland China, Singapore, and Taiwan, telling stories that are so unbelievably outrageous that they can only be based in reality. The first book is being adapted for the big screen and will be coming to theaters soon, with a script already written and casting imminent. “From the start I chose this team, I chose to work with Nina Jacobsen because she promised me this would be a movie that would have the dream team cast of the best Asian actors, Pan-Asian from all over Asia, and Asian-American actors,” he said. “I think the filmmakers are really committed to making the fanbase happy and to making Asia happy. They want this movie to do well in the Chinese box office and the Asian box office.”
Another author, Amy O’Dell, who penned the fashion insider tell-all Tales From the Back Row, also sat down with Yahoo Style for a game of Cards Against Fashion Humanity.
