KFC Finally Bringing Popular International Item to U.S. Menus: 'I Love It'

It's official! KFC's famous "Chizza" is making it's way to menus across the U.S. later this month—and fans can't wait any longer.
The restaurant chain's international hit, Chizza ("cheet-za"), is more than just a pizza—it's two 100% white meat Extra Crispy fried chicken filets topped with zesty marinara sauce, melty mozzarella cheese and crispy pepperoni.
After first debuting on KFC menus in the Philippines in 2015, Chizza has been featured all around the world over the past several years, including locations in Korea, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Germany, Spain and Mexico—and now, the U.S!
Starting on Feb. 26 for a limited time, American KFC customers can enjoy the Chizza on its own, or ramp up the experience with the combo meal, which includes the Chizza, Secret Recipe Fries and a medium drink.
"Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better—the Chizza," said Nick Chavez, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC U.S. "The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world—try it while you can!"
KFC fans on social media are already ecstatic over the announcement, including users who commented on an Instagram post from food news expert account, @snackolator, who shared the good news on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
'I’d eat this omg ????," one excited fan wrote under the post, while another person rejoiced, "hell yeah."
"OH MY GOD PIZZA AND CHICKEN MIXED TOGETHER I LOVE IT," another eager fan commented.
KFC customers can use the KFC app to order their Chizza ahead of time and skip the line to pick it up on KFC's dedicated Quick Pick-Up shelf and sign up for KFC Rewards to start earning rewards on digital orders and unlocking FREE KFC.
