KFC's New Limited Edition Wing Flavor Is Perfect for Spice Lovers
Spice lovers, rejoice—Kentucky Fried Chicken is bringing a new flavor to town that can't be beat.
Beginning Sept. 10, just in time for football season, the beloved chicken joint is launching their new Hot & Spicy Wings, marinated and double hand-breaded to produce "the perfect amount of spice with each satisfying crunch."
The special edition flavor is already well-known and loved across the globe, finally making its way into U.S. restaurants.
The new menu option is also practically a steal, with eight wings available for just $4.99.
“We’re coming in HOT (and spicy) this football season with a truly unmatched deal,” Nick Chavez, CMO, of KFC U.S, said in a statement. “Bench the other players. Why get 6 wings for $5.99 when you can start our 8 pc. Hot & Spicy Wings instead for just $4.99?”
It's a subtle jab toward Popeye's spicy wings, with a 6-piece costing $11.99.
Starting today, Sept. 7, the brand is also offering free delivery on all orders through KFC.com or the KFC app, encouraging fans to turn Thursday nights into "Kentucky Fried Chicken Night."
Taco Bell also delighted fans this week with a new, limited-edition version of the Mexican Pizza. The Cheesy Jalape?o Mexican Pizza, which saw a very successful test run in Oklahoma City last winter, is available starting today, Sept. 7, in participating locations for a limited time, which came just in time to celebrate its one-year return after vanishing from menus in 2020. The chain is also reportedly adding Rolled Chicken Tacos, Nacho Fries and the Strawberry Twist Frost to menus nationwide this September.
