As our guest, Dr. Sandra Lee (a.k.a. dermatologist and YouTube star Dr. Pimple Popper) explains, "There are two main mistakes that people make. One is that they think that they wash their hair less and that their dandruff will get better, but that is really not the case. [Dandruff] is not due to dry skin, it's due to the accumulation of this greasy, kind of yellowish scale on your scalp."
Solution? "If you wash your hair more often, you will have less dandruff."

As for the second common problem, Dr. Lee says, "There are great over-the-counter dandruff shampoos, but people don't use them right! They think they're using them to wash their hair, but no. They're using them to wash their scalp!"
