Kim Cattrall Used the Nail-Strengthening Treatment Shoppers Call “Manicure-Changing”

Samantha Jones was the most iconic and admirable of Sex and the City’s leading ladies. Since Kim Cattrall’s character is painfully absent from the reboot, we won’t be getting any new fashion or beauty inspiration there. But we can still get some from Cattrall herself: She recently stepped out at a New York fashion show wearing the glossiest red manicure. I assumed a shine that pronounced had to be gel, but the whole look was shockingly regular polish—courtesy of Deborah Lippmann.
Five Deborah Lippmann products were used for Cattrall’s sultry manicure—Gel Lab Pro Nail Polish in My Old Flame, Gel Lab Pro Base Coat, Gel Lab Pro Top Coat, and the High and Dry Top Coat. The last product used is The Wait Is Over Quick Dry Drops, which I find to be the most intriguing.

The quick dry drops help your nail polish dry faster. After applying a top coat, disperse one or two drops to your nails and your manicure should be good to go within a minute or less. But that’s not all; it also prevents and fixes imperfections like bubbles and streaks. And, according to the brand, it also has strengthening and moisturizing properties so your nails will be healthier in the long run.
A shopper on the Deborah Lippmann website called the Quick Dry Drops “manicure-changing.” Another person praised it for the “glossy finish” it imparts. They also said that it “hydrates your nails and the rest of the cuticles without affecting the final look.” Another shopper said that thanks to these drops, their polish stays on longer “than [they’ve] ever experienced.”

The other important product in Cattrall’s look is obviously the Gel Lab Pro Nail Polish. My Old Flame is a timeless, true red and the formula is a regular polish with gel-like lasting power and effect.
It “stays put for weeks,” per one shopper. Another said it lasts “three weeks.” Though it’s on the expensive side, several shoppers emphasize how much it’s worth it, considering the color payoff and staying power.
