Kim Kardashian Honored With The Giving Tree Award at Baby2Baby Charity Gala
The 42-year-old received the highest honor of the night.
Kim Kardashian joined many other celebrities at the Baby2Baby Charity Gala on Nov. 12, where she was honored with the Giving Tree Award for her philanthropy work.
According to Baby2Baby's official website, the organization chose to honor Kardashian this year "for her longtime dedication to Baby2Baby and commitment to supporting the children they serve."
Previous Giving Tree Award recipients include Vanessa Bryant, Chrissy Teigen, Amy Adams, Kerry Washington, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson and Drew Barrymore.
Wearing a stunning bright pink Balenciaga cut-out dress, Kardashian accepted the award from filmmaker and fellow advocate Tyler Perry. She gave an eloquent speech about the work Baby2Baby does and how important it is, saying, "Justice for me has so many meanings but what it ultimately comes down to is what is fair, what is right and what leads our world better -- especially for our children."
The philanthropist continued, "I will continue to use my voice and my resources to share in your mission, while all of us help Baby2Baby to bring fairness, equality and justice to so many children, who have been deprived of access to basic essentials."
Emphasizing everybody's ability to make a difference, no matter the amount of money, resources, or influence they have, Kardashian went on. "You don’t have to break the internet or have millions of followers to make a difference. Everyone in this room has the power. Even the smallest of efforts help. Our support is needed more now than ever, to close the necessity gap and join the fight for change," she began to wrap up.
Lastly, she thanked both her mother, Kris Jenner, and her late father, Robert Kardashian, before mentioning her four kids, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
Also in attendance at the star-studded event were Ciara, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Jessica Alba, Jenna Dewan and more.
