Kim Kardashian Lands a 'Terrifying' Role in a Popular Horror TV Series
This marks the reality star's first scripted TV role.
From reality TV to an established horror TV franchise.
Kim Kardashian is gearing up to make her scripted television debut after landing a role in the new season of American Horror Story.
The reality star, 42, shared the news with her Instagram followers earlier today via a chilling promo video teasing the upcoming 12th season of Ryan Murphy's FX horror show set to an eerie rendition of the nursery rhyme "Rockabye Baby."
The caption remained cryptic with only an emoji of a red drop of blood and side-eye accompanying the post.
Kardashian will star alongside American Horror Story alum, Emma Roberts—who held major roles in Freak Show, Cult, Apocalypse, and 1984—and is making a highly-anticipated return to the franchise.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the ‘AHS’ family,” co-creator Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter, adding, “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture.”
Fans couldn't hold it together after hearing about the news, taking their excitement to the comment section of the post.
"This is the 2023 plot twist I didn’t see coming!!!!!!" one fan quipped, while another stated, "This wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card ??"
"KIM IN AMERICAN HORROR STORY? OMG," another shocked fan wrote.
"Just when you think she’s done it all she’s back again ????," a third fan stated.
Kardashian's longtime friend, Lala Anthony, also shared her excitement with plenty of shocked face emojis.
"So proud of you!!!! Another amazing endeavour ??????," one more fan shared while someone chimed in, "I cannot WAIT to watch this, amazing I’m super excited!!!!! ????????"
Roberts also shared the news on her Instagram page, writing, "This summer…Kim and I are DELICATE."
THR revealed that Kardashian began speaking with Murphy about joining the AHS family last summer after garnering attention with her Saturday Night Live hosting gig back in 2021.
The new season, dubbed Delicate, will be based on Danielle Valentine's thriller novel Delicate Condition, which is set to be published in August. The novel follows a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is out to destroy her pregnancy.
"Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done," Murphy continued, revealing Feiffer will be the sole writer and show runner this season.
American Horror Story: Delicate does not have a premiere date just yet, but it's expected to arrive sometime this summer on FX.
