Kim Kardashian Looks Unrecognizable With Short Hair in New Photoshoot
Kim Kardashian threw everyone for a loop as she posed in a gritty new photoshoot with very short, spiky black hair.
The 42-year-old shared shots from the Muses issue of CR Fashion Book for its 10-year anniversary on her Instagram page, with Kardashian writing of the experience in the caption, "Crazy I was on the 1st cover and now 10 years later still inspired by @carineroitfeld. I love you ?? Thank you for having me. @crfashionbook." She also tagged the photographer, Nadia Lee Cohen.
In the cover image, Kardashian stares straight ahead while wearing spiky hair, unique cat-eye glasses, and a white t-shirt with some dirt marks visible on the front. Other photos depict Kardashian lounging on a couch with a cigarette and smeared makeup and holding a lit match in black lingerie.
The publication also shared the photos, celebrating the issue's release. Introducing Kardashian in the accompanying caption, CR Fashion Book wrote that she "is the barrier-breaking muse of this generation redefining what it means to inspire."
In the comments of Kardashian's post, fans were not exactly huge fans of the new look, with one person plainly writing, "My baby this is not ur look," while another said, "Whoever did this to you hates you."
Others shared who they thought she looked like, with two commonly mentioned names being the character Glen from Seed of Chucky and Kardashian's ex-husband Kanye West's current wife—although they are not legally married—Bianca Censori. Someone else suggested, "It's giving Jamie Lynn [sic] Curtis," while Kris Jenner and Doja Cat were also mentioned.
Despite some people's dislike of Kardashian's photoshoot look, there were also many who really appreciated the edgy photos, with comments like, "Umm this is iconic," "A look? Thee look. ??," and "Bizarre and fantastic ??."
"Love that more controversial and alternative side of you! You took it to the next level," read a different supportive comment.
Kardashian is known to take risks when it comes to fashion, with the bold spiky hair only the latest look she has experimented with. Earlier in 2023, the reality TV personality tried out a blunt bob and fringe bangs as well.
