Kim Kardashian returns to the White House in an all-white suit

Kim Kardashian made another trip to the White House on Wednesday, this time with Alice Marie Johnson by her side, in addition to three other women whose sentences were commuted by President Donald Trump with Kardashian’s help.

The reality TV mogul turned criminal justice reform advocate took to Twitter to share that she would be heading there for another discussion on the justice system, along with Tynice Nichole Hall, Crystal Munoz and Judith Negron, women who served alongside Johnson in prison, and were later released on the recommendation of Johnson and Kardashian.

Kardashian later posted a photo of the group with the caption, “White House here we come!!!” which prompted Twitter applause about female empowerment.

It seems that the power of women wasn’t lost on Kardashian herself, as she wore an all-white suit reminiscent of the suffragettes.

The color, which was adopted by the National Women’s Party honoring women who fought for their right to vote, was famously worn by Hillary Clinton when she accepted the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016, along with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the 2019 State of the Union. A sea of white looks were also worn during an emotional #TimesUp performance by Kesha at the 2018 Grammys, days before people questioned if First Lady Melania Trump was making a statement of her own by wearing an ivory suit at the 2018 State of the Union.

Still, it isn’t clear whether or not Kardashian aimed to make a statement with her look. Although her work is certainly making waves in the White House.
