Kim Kardashian wants you to know pineapple juice has a surprising health benefit
Kim Kardashian’s latest Instagram post is a sexy, on-brand selfie, but the photo itself isn’t what has fans talking. In the caption to the picture she shared on Saturday, Kardashian directed her followers to “Google the benefits of pineapple juice,” and it’s not clear exactly what she meant by the suggestion.
Google the benefits of pineapple juice 🍍

According to Healthline, there are some real health benefits to drinking pineapple juice. Pineapples, and no-sugar-added pineapple juice, are a good source of magnesium, vitamin C, and calcium. Healthline also notes that pineapples and pineapple juice contain bromelain, which can act as an anti-inflammatory. Maybe Kardashian just wants the athletes who follow her to take part in safe recovery techniques?

Another theory, though, is that Kardashian meant something a bit cheekier with her caption. A 2012 Jezebel article cited pineapple, among other fruits, as a food that might make your vagina taste better. It’s worth noting, though, that the anecdotes Jezebel mentioned are pretty much old wives’ tales.
The Instagram post might also be a reference to an old episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, as Heavy pointed out. In that episode, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian hosted a “vagina smell-off,” which included both of them drinking pineapple juice. Yikes!
Apparently, the theory that pineapple juice makes the vagina taste “sweeter” was Khloé Kardashian’s idea, and she actually smelled both of her sisters’ vaginal juices to determine whose smell was better. (If you’re curious, Kim Kardashian won the challenge.)
There’s also the fact that Kardashian is drinking Dole pineapple juice in the picture. The post doesn’t appear to be an ad for Dole, but some fans called her out in the Instagram comments for not drinking fresh juice. (For the record, Dole’s website states that its pineapple juice doesn’t contain added sugar. But if you have the means to eat whole fruit, it will generally be better for you than drinking fruit juice.)
Kardashian knew exactly how to get fans talking with her Instagram post, and she didn’t even have to explain what she meant by the caption. Hopefully, she and her sisters won’t be engaging in another “smell-off” anytime soon — the scene was way TMI, even for reality TV. But there’s no harm in drinking pineapple juice in moderation, whether or not it actually has sexy benefits.
