A true celebration of decorating excellence, the Kips Bay Palm Beach Decorator Show House draws from an international field of top designers to showcase the very best of outstanding home design and products. This year, 19 design firms, from New York City and Toronto to Los Angeles, will transform the plantation-style South End residence of world-renowned antiques dealer and interior designer Lars Bolander.

The affectionally named Bamboo Hill blends South African and Dutch architecture with open-air entries and terraces that seamlessly connect the home’s interiors, originally designed by Bolander, to its tropical gardens.

"The location is unlike any other house we've showcased in previous years, offering a unique platform for the design firms to channel their creativity," says acclaimed designer and Honorary Show House Chair Bunny Williams.

Each designer has been assigned a specific room or outdoor space to reimagine with their own signature style. New York-based designer Alessandra Branca will use her rigorous attention to proportion and scale to outfit the master bedroom, complete with a cathedral ceiling and French doors. Los Angeles designers Kevin Isbell and Joe Lucas will each design one of two guest suites.

The Palm Beach-based power duo of Mario Nievera and Keith Williams have been tapped to renovate the pink bougainvillea-and-palm-tree-filled gardens. Another Palm Beach-based heavyweight, architect Thomas Kirchoff, has teamed up with Pittsburgh-based designer Betsy Wentz to tackle the master bathroom and closet.

Atlanta-based designer Suzanne Kasler and Greenwich-based kitchen designer Sarah Blank have been assigned to the first floor of the West Palm Beach home, which comprises just two rooms: a double-height great room and an airy kitchen. Toronto-based Colette van den Thillart will design the adjoining outdoor dining terrace.
