KJ Apa Opens Up About His "Riverdale" Sex Scenes
In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Riverdale's KJ Apa got very honest about shooting sex scenes with his costar Camila Mendes, who as we all know, plays Veronica Lodge.
"It’s weird with someone you don’t know that well. On a movie set, you have time to get to know the person and rehearse before shooting. Camila and I just had to dive into it. Now that we’re friends, it’s easier."
To recap, the two had a super sexy shower scene in season two, episode 14. The timing was interesting considering KJ's character Archie was in the middle of washing his dad's blood off. But let's be real, Varchie fans were definitely not complaining.
And get this, back in October, Camila revealed she knew about the scene way before reading the script. Her reaction to the news was relatable AF.
"Roberto, our show runner, had told me there's going to be a really steamy scene, and I was like, 'Ok, I'll get ready. I have a month to physically prepare myself.' No, but it was really fun. It's kind of funny playing a scene like that and having a whole camera crew right around you," she told ET Online in an exclusive. "But KJ always makes it so funny that it's a blast."
Even if you're on team Bughead, you have to admit, they're both really cute! Also, major props to KJ and Camila for not falling in the shower. Apparently, it was a very slippery situation.
"I always had to keep my ground," Camila said. "What's harder though is making out in the water. We had to spit it all out, but we had to make out. It was the funniest moment."
